Sojourner’s Path

​Allie has had some bad dreams lately. Some so terrible, she wakes tangled up in bloodied sheets. There's something about them though, like an itch needing to be scratched. Someone's trying to get her attention, but why?

She's a good person by anyone's standards. She goes to work, church, her family loves her. Allie doesn't deserve the trials she's about to go through... or does she? 

To make matters worse, she's being hunted. They think she's an abomination. A disgusting creation by the other side. It's a tug of war with one woman in the center. Who will win? Who will she decide to trust? 

​Asphodel, a former Archangel, suffers no fools. Pious to a fault, he doesn't want to see the other side win, but he's not about to sacrifice himself in the process. He plays the long game. With devilish good looks, you'd think he'd be biding his time looking for women to exploit, but he only has eyes for one.

​Still, he can't just do as he pleases. He serves under Morana. When she says jump, he says, how high? That is, while she's watching. When she isn't, this headstrong maestro knows he's underestimated at every turn. It's his advantage and he's just biding his time. 

​Gwen Hyssop, Allie's best friend, is usually touring with her Gypsy Jazz ensemble. They've been thick as thieves since childhood. She's always got a great story to tell about life on the road.

When she does come home, she knows something's up with her bff. It's not easy to see your friend going through so many hardships, but Gwen knows the secret Allie longs to understand. She'll try to help Allie's tortured soul, but will she listen? 

​Morana, Demon and Mistress over Asphodel, is not about to let anyone take her place. She's clawed her way back from the deepest, darkest recesses to be here and she won't let anyone stand in her way. She knows how the Powers work, and who she can and can't play with. She'll even dispose of Asphodel, if he won't toe the line.

As for this altered human (Allie), they'll be destroyed at the first convenient moment. An abomination cannot be allowed to live! If she does, there's no telling what she will do for the other side. To nip it in the bud as soon as possible is the goal. She must not be tolerated!

Can Allie escape the clutches of Morana in time?
